FIRST ALERT 6 WEATHER DAY: Last frigid morning Friday, warm up in sight
Wind chills could get as cold as -25 at times again Friday morning too but with lighter winds in the morning the wind chill will not be as brutal. There should be rapid improvement by Friday afternoon though as the south wind sends us in the double digits once again, approaching 20 in Omaha!
First Alert Weather Day: Quiet weekend weather ahead
High temperatures today will hover in the low and mid-40s with a good mix of sun and clouds, ending our First Alert Weather Day. Overnight, the clouds that build in will help mitigate how cold we get overnight. Mid-20s are expected into early Saturday morning.
Feels like temperatures will dip to the lower 20s with a slight breeze this morning. Highs today will only reach the upper 40s to near 50 degrees.
The event is free and the First Alert Weather team will be there passing out Snowbird goodies and weather radios.
Snow began falling on Colorado's eastern plains Thursday afternoon, leading to slick road conditions into Friday morning across the Denver metro area.
