Counterfeit versions of Labubu dolls are proving to be a serious choking hazard for young children, trading standards officials have warned. Hull City Council said its officers had seized hundreds of the "dangerous" toys from shops around the city, and warned that it was likely many were still on sale.

Officers from North East Lincolnshire Council's Trading Standards have now urged both parents and businesses to be vigilant for potentially hazardous imitation toys spotted on the shelves of local shops.

Masked thieves stole about $7,000 worth of Labubu dolls from a Los Angeles-area store on Wednesday, according to the Associated Press. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are investigating the incident.
