Conner, who has a career-high 1,500 scrimmage yards this season, suffered a right knee injury in the second half of the Cardinals’ Week 16 loss to the Panthers, eliminating them from playoff contention. He was not ruled out but spent the remainder of the game on the sidelines in a jacket and did not return.

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon says the progress of running back James Conner has been "good" this week as the team prepares to battle the Los Angeles Rams in Week 17. Gannon, however, wouldn't elaborate more on Conner and didn't reveal if he'd play in Saturday night's primetime battle.
