The Ryder Cup will now see U.S. players in LIV Golf eligible to compete, meaning that Team Europe could also revert its strict rules to the delight of Spanish golfer Jon Rahm

Jon Rahm ended his first year in the LIV Golf League by closing with a 4-under 66 to win the final individual event Sunday and the season points title with its $18 million bonus. Rahm missed a pair of short birdie putts on the back nine that kept Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia in the mix.

Jon Rahm did just enough Sunday to hold off Joaquin Niemann and Sergio Garcia for the victory at LIV Golf Chicago, the final individual event on the schedule this year. The win ends a winding year for Rahm in which he was great at LIV Golf events but not so great at major championships.
