The scavenger-turned-Jedi played by Daisy Ridley in the last three episode movies is key to the space opera's next turn.

Daisy Ridley's character Rey Skywalker will reportedly appear in "several" upcoming Star Wars films as she's been deemed the galaxy far, far away's "most valuable cinematic asset."

Rey Skywalker could be the key to pushing the Star Wars saga forward — and fixing the sequel trilogy's biggest misstep.

A common criticism of the recent trilogy is that the story or franchise lacks clear direction. That still seems to be the case; only Disney has become even more gun-shy since Rise Of Skywalker. Sadly, Star Wars is primarily a press release property now, but that may be the best form for it to take.

Always in motion, the future is... but with Star Wars lately, things have definitely been more in motion than usual.

According to THR, Lucasfilm is reportedly convinced that Rey is the future of the franchise and wants to get her back on screen as soon as freaking possible:
