A 2-year-old was rescued from a burning home on Staten Island after being found in a bed inside a smoke-filled room and being handed out a window to another firefighter, according to the FDNY.

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A house fire reported in Graniteville prompted a massive FDNY response Friday afternoon. The blaze was reported on Ada Drive near Farragut Avenue at approximately 3:45 p.m., according to emergency radio transmissions.

Several speed cameras across Staten Island have been blocked by fake flowers to keep those cameras from catching speeders.

We've heard about drivers illegally getting creative to avoid speed or toll cameras, but this is a new one. Fake flowers have been used to block the lenses of several speed cameras across Staten Island.
