TAIPEI: Taiwan investigators searched four locations on Thursday (Sep 19) as part of a probe into the origin of pagers that exploded while being used by Hezbollah operatives in Lebanon, authorities said.

Taiwan's economy minister has confirmed that the components used in the pagers that detonated in Lebanon were not manufactured in Taiwan. Gold Apollo, a Taiwan-based company, clarified that the devices were made by a Budapest-based company,

The company, Gold Apollo, said it had not manufactured the devices, pointing to another company that it said was licensed to use its brand.
