A Spirit Airlines passenger, Teresa Araujo, detailed her experience of getting deboarded from the plane after a ‘sexist’ male attendant forced her and her friend to go back to the gate because of what they wore.

"Our Contract of Carriage, a document all Guests agree to upon making a reservation with us, includes certain clothing standards," read an airline statement

Two women were removed from a plane for wearing crop tops, which are very short tops that reveal the stomach and part of the back. The airline justified its decision by citing its regulations. Passengers Tara Kehidi and Teresa Araujo were removed from a Spirit Airlines flight before departing from Los Angeles to New Orleans.
