I mainly hunt whitetail and the occasional black bear when I get a win a permit. I hand load but stay at factory pressures and really don't go crazy with hot loads.

Feb 21, 2011 · For an inexpensive American 1911, I loked into Auto-Ordnance a while back and the barebones, plain-Jane style kind of appealed to me. For an American-made, single-stack 1911, not too pricey, and with some nice features, the GI Expert is a great option. I don't know about Remington, but I know Springfield's 1911s are made in Brazil.
