Oct 28, 2022 · I have an older (30+ years) Maytag Washer, Model # A308. I called the local Maytag authorized repair and they sent a technician. He believes he knows what the problem is, but cannot remove the agitator. Everything he reads and others he has spoken with say to remove the lock screw holding the agitator to the shaft.

We have a Maytag washer model, LAV3600AWW. The upper part of the agitator has become loose and pops up during the washing cycle. My thought was that this part is meant to come off because if it did you would have more space to wash large blankets. Reading the manual nothing was said of this "feature".

May 1, 2016 · My washer is a Maytag Bravos, product number is MVWX700XW. Some time ago the washer was not spinning or agitating correctly and my clothes were all coming out terribly. I replaced the drive hub and nut and upon pulling the old one out found that all the teeth had been stripped. It's no wonder nothing was happening when I tried to loosen the nut.

May 11, 2013 · Sounds like you may have pulled a wire off of one of the timer connections while you were in there. There are connections on both sides of the timer. You will need to remove the knob, take the screws out and pull the timer away to check connections on the back side. To take the knob off, pry the cap off of it and remove the retaining clip.
