Dec 7, 2021 · I'm in Jefferson County, WV and just got a Uniden SDS-100. It's the best scanner I've ever owned. Yes, It's expensive and top of the line, but compared to my other scanners: Pro-2006, Uniden BCD536HP, 436, Whistler WS1098, RS Pro-196, a handful of Pro-197's, it beats them all in selectivity and sensitivity.

(Orange PD and Fire (plus Woodbridge-same freq) and West Haven Fire were low band and West Haven PD were on VHF. I put that scanner thru hell.

Oct 29, 2023 · IMHO, Whistler totally dropped the ball on the continuance of producing quality scanner's. They took the old GRE stuff and rebadged it. Yes, I was sorry after I sold my psr-500. They obviously did not have any engineer's with Paul Opitz <RIP> qualities.
