Stove Pipe Oval to Round Connector on Defiant
Oct 23, 2023 · I had my stove installed “professionally”. I have found a few issues that they have had to come back and make right so now I find myself questioning everything about their install. Today I noticed my stove pipe was sitting a little weird where it connects to the oval opening on the stove so naturally I had to take a closer look.

Answer: Crimps (or ridges) should face down toward the stove., This assures that water and creosote will run down into the pipe below..not onto the outside of the pipe and your floor/stove. Don't worry, the smoke will go up. Seal all joints with furnace cement and 3 screws.

Anyone used this stove pipe thermometer/alarm yet?
Dec 26, 2012 · My stove has 3 dampers. on back of stove at bottom. This one is the main air intake that controls the stove temp. It is connected to a bimetal thermostat. Works good but is very slow to adjust to temps at startup; bypass damper. When open it helps to keep the smoke from coming out the front when the door is opened for refilling. pipe damper
