This is such a moving scene from "The Quiet Man" when Mary Kate realizes that even though she has..... "all of her things about her" she feels the sadness of her marriage not being complete. It should be noted that almost all interior scenes were filmed in Hollywood on a sound stage. | Maureen O'Hara Magazine Website

Maureen O'Hara made her album "Maureen O'Hara Sings Her Favorite Irish Songs" in 1960 as an LP record. From there it was transferred to an audio cassette and then to CD. In the front of the Cassette case there was a printed insert signed by Maureen telling about her selection of the various authentic Irish songs. A lot of love and tender care went into the selection of her songs. This clip is another from the Andy Williams show "The Rich Man Died" taken from that album. (Thanks to the Moon River

We are way over due for one of the clips of Maureen singing; this one from one of the Andy Williams Shows (shared exclusively with Maureen O'Hara Magazine by the Moon River Association a decade or so ago). Many thanks to you always for your kindness. The best part of all is that Maureen did get to see them again after all those years. | Maureen O'Hara Magazine Website

Actress Maureen O'Hara. She was a leading lady during the Golden Age of Hollywood, known for playing strong, independent women. Born in Dublin, Ireland, in 1920, she began her film career in the late 1930s. She was nicknamed the "Queen of Technicolor" because of her striking red hair and ability to light up the screen. O'Hara starred in over 60 films, including classics such as The Hunchback of Notre Dame (1939), How Green Was My Valley (1941), Miracle on 34th Street (1947), and The Quiet Man (1

Although Maureen was never cast in a musical by her studios, she somehow managed to get a song in - here and there - over the years. I went over her filmography and found about 9 films (I may have missed one or two) where she sang. The clip I'm showing today is from "Comanche Territory." She sang briefly, along with others, in "How Green Was My Valley," - did a neat little solo in "A Woman's Secret," - "Bagdad" - "The Quiet Man," - "Parent Trap," - "The Deadly Companions" (sang the background th

Maureen O'Hara could go toe-to-toe with John Wayne, and she's got the filmography to prove it. We're thinking of the iconic Irish actress on this St. Patrick's Day. See her in THE QUIET MAN ('52) tonight at 8pm ET. | Turner Classic Movies: TCM

On July 23, 1966, Thomas Cassidy, an L.A. radio personality interviewed Maureen O'Hara on his "Luncheon at the Music Center" show. It was primarily a classical music station. The program was over an hour long and during that time he talked to her a bit and would then intersperse music from "The Quiet Man" sound track, her own record album "Maureen O'Hara Sings her Favorite Irish Songs" and other topics. I am so lucky to have this audio tape because it's a rare opportunity to see Maureen intervie

I always try to periodically post a video of Maureen singing. She had such an incredible voice and in this clip, she sings "Drink to Me Only With Thine Eyes" with the incomparable Andy Williams. So many people are involved in making these clips possible for our website that includes the Moon River Andy Williams organization, and Clyde Lucas, Director/Producer in California who did the isolation editing for me so I could share this with Maureen's fans. Also remember that there is a "Video" sectio

How about today we re-run that wonderful clip of Maureen O'Hara singing "I've Grown Accustomed to Your (his) Face? It's from a TV special "The All Star Tribute to John Wayne" in the 1970s. I had the privilege of interviewing the producer for that show, Paul Keyes, in 1993; an incredible man. For those of you who haven't seen it....enjoy....for everyone else? Enjoy again! Remember those video clips I often share of Maureen on the Andy Williams show in the 1960s? This is another clip that I missed earlier of Maureen's dialogue with Andy after she sang "Look to the Rainbow." They are setting up the following scene in the Irish pub that will follow. (In the past I've shown you all the clips that followed in that setting). Thanks to Andy Williams Moon River organization for sharing these wonderful moments on the Andy Williams Show. | Maureen O'Hara Magazine Website

I know it's not anywhere near St. Patrick's Day, but I love the Irish song "Nora Lee" and Andy Williams and Maureen sing it so beautifully. I guess it's okay for a little 'get in the mood' for St. Patrick's Day music..... this time it's dancing. I'm definitely not an authority on Irish dancing, but this is choreographed for a TV audience and geared to entertain and and for just plain fun! Again -- Maureen on the Andy Williams Show in the 1950s. (Special thanks to the Andy Williams Organization for giving the MO Magazine website exclusive permission to share these video clips, and also to Clyde Lucas, Producer/Director for editing ea
