Last Friday, we marked 170 years of NSW Railways. Recreating the first Sydney–Parramatta journey from 1855, steam locomotive 3526 ran side-by-side with Vintage Electric Set F1 and the newest Mariyung intercity train. A powerful reminder of 170 years of progress, innovation and rail heritage in action. 🚂 LOCOMOTIVE 3001 RESTORATION UPDATE We’re in the final stages of Locomotive 3001’s overhaul, with painting 🎨 of the engine and tender now close to complete. The locomotive will soon undergo trials on both the NSW Rail Museum’s Loop Line and main line. ✅ Locomotive 3001 entered service with the NSW Government Railways in 1903 and operated regularly on the Sydney suburban network, including the North Shore, Main North and Illawarra lines. 3001 was saved for preservation shortly after it was wit
